Federal Credit Union began in April 1963, when employees of
the Celanese plant of Bay City, seeing a need for low cost
credit and higher earnings on deposits, decided to form a
financial institution. Chartered in 1963, Baycel Federal Credit
Union is a non-profit financial organization that is regulated
by the National Credit Union Administration. Since 1963, the
credit union has grown steadily to become a strong and full
service financial institution, which offers a full range of
savings options and low cost loans.
Memebership to Baycel Federal Credit Union is open to those
individuals who live, work, attend school or worship in Matagorda
County.
Once a person is a member, they will remain a member until
their account is closed. Each member's immediate family (mother,
father, brother, sister, children) is eligible to join.
At Baycel Federal Credit Union, we will continue to honor
our Statement of Commitment to members by providing safe,
sound, and competitive financial services to our memebers.
We are committed to the philosophy of helping each member
in a responsible, caring and professional manner. We strive
to provide innovative solutions to the present and future
financial needs of our members. We strive to meet the needs
of all our members regardless of age, race, gender, or class.
We take great pride in treating everyone with the same respect
and courtesy. Doing so will ultimately make Baycel Federal
Credit Union your one stop financial institution
